For times when the home setting isn't what is best for the patient, we proudly offer our inpatient facility, Caroline's Cottage, for short term stays to help with symptom management or caregiver relief. Caroline's Cottage provides three (3) levels of care to our Hospice Patients.

General Inpatient (GIP):
Short-term, acute care provided for pain control or other acute symptom management that cannot feasibly be managed in any other setting. The hospice team works together to stabilize the patient so they can return home at the Routine Level of Care. 

Respite:
Short-term, inpatient care for up to five (5) consecutive days. Respite stay is planned in advance and intended to provide family member/caregiver relief.

Routine/End-of-Life:
Routine Home Care can be provided at Caroline's Cottage for up to 30 days providing care 24/7 when the home setting isn't appropriate and the patient doesn't qualify for the above levels of care. Where Hospice care is typically covered by Medicare or other insurance, a daily rate will be charged for room & board. Fees will be discussed prior to admission.
